Do you handle just design, just manufacturing, or both?

Although we provide the greatest value through a combination of the two (design + manufacturing), we are flexible. We can handle just the engineering design (if the client chooses to have manufacturing done elsewhere), and we also offer contract manufacturing based on designs provided by the client. In the latter case, however, we always perform a pre-production inspection to avoid technical errors.

We don’t have a minimum order quantity set in stone. ZANE Systems specializes in small- and medium-volume production runs. We can manufacture prototype runs of as few as 10 to 50 units, but our capacity also allows us to handle production runs of several thousand units. We select projects based on technological complexity, not volume.

Yes, manufacturing using “customer-supplied materials” is also possible, but we recommend full-service procurement. Why? Because we have an extensive, verified network of suppliers, which allows us to guarantee the authenticity and quality of the parts. In addition, we relieve the customer of the burden of logistics and customs clearance.

This depends largely on the level of complexity. Designing and prototyping a simpler circuit can take 4–6 weeks, while developing a complex medical device that requires certification can take several months. We always include a realistic timeline in our proposal, and we stick to it.

We have a clear policy: intellectual property belongs to the client. Once the development fee has been paid, all design documentation, source code, and production files become your property. We believe that we should retain our clients through the quality of our work, not through legal constraints.

We employ proactive life-cycle management. As early as the design phase, we select components for which the manufacturer guarantees long-term availability. If a component unexpectedly becomes unavailable or is discontinued, our engineers immediately seek an alternative source or make the necessary modifications (redesign) to ensure that the customer’s production does not stop for even a single day.

Yes, this is an integral part of our service. We don’t just design—we bring the product to a “certification-ready” state. We’re familiar with the relevant standards, perform in-house preliminary measurements, and, if requested, accompany the product through accredited laboratory testing as well. This saves the client a great deal of time and avoids failed test cycles.

Of course. Today, it’s impossible to imagine a modern electronic device without software. Our team specializes in embedded software development (C, C++, RTOS), as well as cloud integration and mobile app development for IoT systems. This is how we ensure that the hardware and software work in perfect harmony.

We follow a flexible, iterative development model. We understand that new market needs may emerge during the development process. At each milestone, we jointly evaluate our progress, and if adjustments are needed, we incorporate them into the plans in a transparent manner. Our goal is not to rigidly follow specifications, but to ultimately deliver a truly successful product.

We provide comprehensive, production-ready documentation. This includes schematic diagrams, PCB designs (Gerber files), the bill of materials (BOM), source code, and mechanical drawings. We provide documentation that allows the product to be reproduced anytime, anywhere, ensuring that the customer is never left at the mercy of others.
